What began as a casual anime circle has become the leading fujoshi culture podcast and the hosts of FujoCon.

OUR STORY

BL Garden DFW was founded in 2012 in Dallas, Texas after a group of fans sought fujin friends with whom to share their love of BL. We are the hosts of FujoCon, a virtual BL convention in the United States. Our team is comprised of a dedicated group of fujoshi influencers, including published academics, authors, creatives, anime industry professionals, and scientists. 

When we’re not busy writing panels or recording our podcast, we meet up to discuss BL manga and anime. Since 2013 we’ve been steadily working our way through the BL anime chronology, faithfully watching every BL anime ever made (it’s a long process!). In addition to arguing over ships and trying new dessert spots, we like to travel. Our group has made several anime pilgrimages, including Comiket and the official “unofficial BANANA FISH NYC tour.”

CONVENTIONS

BL Garden of DFW has been presenting at and working for anime conventions across the country for over 10 years. Beyond our main focus on BL panels, we have panel experience ranging from lolita fashion to deep dives in anime to fandom studies and queer culture.
